About
Baltimore Metro REACT, formerly Howard County REACT is a volunteer, non-profit organization focused on providing community services during both emergency and non-emergency events that require organized, 2-way communications, traffic control, weather spotting, and roadside assistance.
Thorugh the use of multiple radio systems such as Ham, GMRS, Business Band, and others, Baltimore Metro REACT trains it's members in the proper use of these systems to relay important information during non-emergency events such as parades, runs, walkathons, bike races, and such to prepare for disasters where communications are key to recovery.
In addition to providing 2-way communications during wide-spread disasters, Baltimore Metro REACT assists local police, fire, and rescue services, during smaller-scale events that still may require emergency communications.
